Ten thousand workers demonstrated in Hydo Park and sent the Government a message; ‘’Got rid of profiteers or get out.” The profiteer tribunal has commenced operations. Residents in many districts have arranged open air markets where goods are selling at half the shop prices.—Times. THE WAR OFFICE. (Received Sept. 23, 11.25 a.m.) LONDON, Sept. 22. Considerable comment has been aroused by the forecast of the Sunday Times that Lord Rothermere will shortly be entrusted with the War Office, where Mr. Churchill has succeeded only in adding to his unpopularity.
