NAPIER, Sept. 22.

New Zealand visited Napieron Sunday lor about an hour. She did not come alongside the breakwater. A largo crowd watched her from the Marine Parade.

GISBORNE, Sept. 22. Glorious weather favoured the visit of H.M.S. New Zealand, which called in at the roadstead en route for Auckland yesterday afternoon. Crowds lined the beaches and hillsides, and largo numbers of school boys were taken out in tenders and cheered the New Zealand as she slowly steamed by. The acting-chairman of tho Harbour Board gave the. official greetings to the Admiral, who expressed regret that the stay was so short. As tho warship departed the ship’s band played “Anld Lang Syne.”
