NORWEGIAN STEAMER
WRECKED.
By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. (Received Sept. 22, 11.55 a.m.) LONDON, Sept. 21. The Norwegian steamer Hortense Lea, laden with wood pulp, capsized oft the Tyne. Fourteen of the passengers and crew were rescued, but three died from exposure and six others were drowned. A FRENCH TRAITOR. PARIS, Sept. 19.. The execution of Lenoir, condemned for traitorous communication with the enemy, was arranged for this morning. The stake was erected, and the firing squad had arrived when a messenger came with an order for temporary reprieve. This was due to Lenoir’s eleventh hour offer to give evidence in the Caillaux case.—Times Service. MEDAL FOR Y.M.C.A. LONDON, Sept. 19. The War Office has notified the Y.M.C.A. that all workers serving in the war areas oversea will receive the 1914-15 Star and British War Medal.
