ROUMANIAN POLICY.
TO LEAVE CHAOS BEHIND,
B.v Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright, LONDON, Sept. 19.
The Daily Express’ Budapest correspondent states that'" tho Roumanians will evacuate Budapest in the next lew days. They are pursuing a deliberate policy of leaving the country in a chaotic condition m order to provide an excuse for their return.
A prospect of the renewal of tho reign of Bolshevism is causing anxiety. The Communists have accumulated secret stores of arms and ammunition, and are only awaiting the signal for rising. It is impossible for the Hungarians to maintain order after the evacuation by the Roumanians, except in the trans-Danube districts. The Roumanians’ latest act is the destruction of the War Ministry telephones. They endeavoured to arrest in order to form a now Government, but Friedrich successfully apnoaied for British intervention.—Aus.N.Z. Cable Assn, TRIAL OF COMMUNISTS. COPENHAGEN, Sept. 19. The trial of Communists has begun at Budapest. The accused include 33 commissaries, 37 journalists, and all revolutionary judges and jurymen.— Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
