PALMERSTON RAILWAYMEN.
MAKING NEW DEMANDS. Per Press Association. PALMERSTON N., August 1. A mass meeting of railwaymen was hold here to-night. A resolution was passed and forwarded to the central executive. It is understood that it is in the nature of an ultimatum from all branches of the service insisting upon higher rates of remuneration for night work for drivers and lire men. andi tha removal of the cancellation of holiday passes to men on leave. The tone of the meeting was distinctly belligerent'.
