Mr. Bates’ forecast for the 24 hour* from 9 a.m. to-day is as follows:—' The. indications arc lor south-easterly winds, strong to gale, and veering by south to west after about 24 hours; the weather will probably prove very boisterous, with rain probable; the barometer has a falling tendency; seas heavy, tides moderate.
