11 AUDIT FARM ON BOARD SHUT When a sailor named John Bnnyan Toinblom left bis ship -in Wellington on Monday, he never anticipated that before the day n'as out he would bo obsessed with visions of a rabbit farm on board tho ship. Here Toinblom drifted away from bis partner and entered the horticultural department where ho annexed a roll of wire netting and also 13 packets of garden seeds. Ho thou made for tho lairwav, "but was soon in difficulties, and it "was while he was making bad veathev of Ids journey that he met, quite by accident, Constable Harrison. Tornblom told the arm of the law that the wire netting was to be used for tho purpose of fencing .off tho rabbits on board his ship, and that he had effected the purchase, at tho bargain price of 3s 9d. The rabbit farm was not even a memory when Tornblom appeared before Mr. E. Page, S.M., m the Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, charged wilt, tho theft and with insobriety. Ho refilled tho fact that ho got drunk, but ho could not remember the rabbits., His Worship entered a conviction or. both charges fined the accused £2 for the theft and 5s for drunkenness. The stolen property was ordered to be reli.met to the owners.
