A full set of American army equipment has been received by the Dominion Museum, Wellington, and is now on exhibition. It includes uniform, greatcoat, rain coats, vest, gloves, rifles, bayonets, water-bottle, boots, puttees and cooking gear. The American equipment was admitted to be particularly good and soldiers will find it interesting to compare the articles with those assucjl to the New Zealand troops. The collection was sent from American Army headquarters in exchange for a set of New Zealand equipment supplied from the New Zealand headquarters in London. The American authorities have also forwarded a complete set of their badges and chevrons, some 120 in number, and specimens of 13 war medals, including the American equivalents of the Distinguished Service Order and the Military Cross. Medals issued for the Indian, wars, .Spanish-American war. Cuban campaign and Chinese (Boxer) campaign are among the specimens. These medals v\ill be placed on exhibition shortly. A final reminder is given of the unreserved clearing sale of furniture to be held on Monday next at 2 p.m. in the Good Templar Hail.
