BRITAIN'S FUTURE TASKS.

The King, whilst visiting the clothing factories at Leicester, in a speech said; “Our task in the future is to bnild a new order for the common life upon the foundations of the past. _ Preserve, srengthen, and renew those ideals of liberty for which we fought. Only by unselfish co-operation between all classes can we win victory in peace, as in war. The Queen and 1 earnestly desire tar join in this work.” King George then urged the need for an improvement in education and the foundation of provincial universities, which were of vital importance to the country’s future commercial prosperity. The King added that the character of the English life was moulded'in the homes of the people. “We must see,’* lie added, “that houses are built which will make possible a. healthy and happy family life. —United Service.
