Tho annual fixture To Auto v. 'Wanganui to-daj' was played in glorious weather, tho attendance being over 10,000. In tho first spell Tc Auto held _ tho ascendancy, and compiled 10 points. Play in this spell at times was very brilliant, in the second half, during tho early stages, Te Ante again scored. Thereafter Wanganui continually pressed, but were unable to penetrate the defence until about 10 minutes before time, when they compiled 12 points in rapid succession. The game ended: Te Ante, 13 ; Wanganui, 12. Pcina (2) and Coates scored tries for the winners, Pone converting two. For AVanganui, D. Ormond (3) and Woollams scored tries. In the junior match -Te Ante proved superior to Wanganui by 12 points to 6. For the winners Tahuwi scored four tries, none of which were converted. Bailey scored for 'Wanganui, hut the trios were not converted.
