NEW YORK, May 25.

The Washington correspondent of the New York Times learns fhat the chemical division of the United States army before the armistice planned to send aeroplanes to Germany for the purpose ot pouring down the deadliest poison known. The poison, which is named Lewiscite, after the discoverer. Professor Lewis, an American chemist, would wipe out every vestige of vegetable and animal life. Three thousand tons of Lewisite would have been ready for use on March I.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
