The/ King’s birthday was celebrated at Taringamutu by the official opening of a substantial bridge over the river which crosses the main road between Ongarue and Ta-nmarnnui. There was a large gathering and the bridge was declared opened for traffic by Mr. IV, T. Jennings. M.P V and remarks suitable to the occasion wore made by the Mayor of Tauniarunui. tho chairman of tho Ohura Council and others who expressed satisfaction at tho completion of the work.
