LEADS TO MANSLAUGHTER CHARGE. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, .Turns 2. Further developments in the .recent tragic affair on the transport Pakeha occurred in the Magistrate’s Court today, when Sergeant Edward G. F. Marsden was charged with the manslaughter of Sergeant-Major Choate. The police asked for a remand.

Counsel' for accused said the military authorities had investigated the case oa Saturday and had allowed accused to go on conditipn that he reported himself to the police at 9 o’clock this morning. At that hour he went to the police station andl was arrested.

Accused was remanded until Wednesday, bail being fixed at one surety of £SO.
