As shown, these plans are partly on the open-air system, and a special feature is the equal and proper lighting and ventilating conditions in all the class-rooms. 1 propose to put in a new kind of sash frame, which, 1 think, will he a great improvement -in school windows. General. —1 here arc several matters referred to me which I would ask permission to hold over. In regard to the Patua School stove, I would recommend that permission .be given to the Carrington Committee to have this stove for their school. The matte)- of the Patua School building requires further consideration Pimiho.—Both tanks are worn out at the residence, and will require renewing; a few small repairs also need attention. Rahotu. —At the residence the range requires renewing, and also one tank. The matter of boarding in the verandah is receiving consideration ; provision has to ho made to prevent blocking ont the light from the room adjoining. Ono of the school tanks also requires'renewing.
