WAR EXPENDITURE.

MEETING OF COMMISSION. PBB FBESS ASSOCIATION. WELLINGTON, Feb. 7. The AA'ar Expenditure Commission met to-day, but did not take evidence. General Robin stated that he and his officers- would facilitate the work of the commission, and in order to facilitate matters ho was prepared to attach, should the. commission desire it, an officer of the headquarters staff, who might be useful in the giving of information, by reason of bis knowledge of the working of the different branches. This officer would bo handy to giveinformation on the spot. If his suggestion met with approval, he would nominate'Major Andrews. In reply to the chairman, General Robin said the officer would be attached merely for the purpose of supplying information. The commission agreed to the suggestion, and formally adjourned to meet at Auckland on Monday next to take evidence.
