'•THE LONESOME CHAP” FINISHES TO-NIGHT. Tho last presentation of “The Lonesome Chap,” featuring Louise Huff and House Peters, and “For the Defence,” presenting Fannie Ward, takes place to-night. SESUB HATAKAWA AND VIVIAN MARTIN IN “FORBIDDEN PATHS” TO-MORROW. x “Forbidden Paths” is the principal picture on to-morrow’s programme at tha People’s Theatre. Tho cast includes Sessue Hayakawa, the Japanese-Amcri- • can actor, who recently achieved success in “The Cheat” and “Tho Bottle Imp.” He is ably assisted by Miss Vivian Martin, who characteriscis her part to advantage. The story tells of Harry Maxwell, a young American. He is engaged to a girl in New York who is called “Cherry Blossom.” He leaves for Mexico. Later he is compromised by Benifa Ramirez, a Mexican adventuress. It is then that ho realises his mistake. He returns to New York, where he encounters his former lover. Just as he is about to marry her, Bonita comes on the scene. Exciting complications follow. In addition to “Forbidden Paths,” humorous and topical films are screened, including “Tho Melbourne Cup,” pictured in one thousand five hundred feet of film.
