ST. JOHN AMBULANCE.

MEETING OF LOCAL COMMITTEE. A meeting of the executive committee of the St. John Ambulance Association was held last evening in the Town Hall. Owing to official business, the president (his worship the Mayor) was unable to be present. Mr. 11. C. Hughes was voted to tbo chair. The delegate to the conference trom St. John Ambulance (Mrs. Docknll) garo a full outline of the business of the meeting held at Government House, and laid a copy of the resolutions which were passed at the conference before the meeting and referred to the woric done in Wellington since by the Mayoress in furtherance of tho resolutions of the conference.

After the matter had been fully discussed the following resolution was adopted : “That his Worship the Mayor b© asked to call a meeting of members of the Bed Cross, St, John Ambulance, Victoria League, guilds, and kindred organisations, with a view to forming a New Plymouth section of tho New Zealand Branch of the British Bod Cross Society as outlined at the meeting of delegates called by his Excellency the Governor and held at Government House on November 10 last.”
