The show was perhaps not the best of this series in every respect and the attendance did not constitute an improved record. But it was a good show, a verv good show, and the crowd, to too superficial observer, appeared to be aa large as ever. In one respect, at any rate there was a record and that was in tho great array of motor-driven vehicles that swarmed on the road and in the paddock set apart tor visitors* oars. It was In eye-opener to tho fact! that petrol is rat) c!y i; I nig the placd of horse-flesh. All the official arrangements worked smoothly as usual, every item of the programme being well up to time. Cattle parading were not so numerous as last year, hut there were more horses. Quality was evident throughout. 'The dog classns were very well filled and many sp-.-.-tators regretted that tho parade of dogs waS omitted. Some novelties were introduced in the jumping competitions and the interest of the public was very evident. Take the »bow altogether tho association lias awry ' casnn to be satisfied with the result of the vast amount of hard work tlm has boon put in. Fanners ought to ungrudgingly support tho institution.
