ON THE HIGH SEAS
A CHANCE FOR THE FLEET COMING. PARIS, Sept. 12. M. Lanessan, ex-Minister of Marine, in an article in Le Petit Parisian, says the hour is approaching when the fleets of the Quadruple Entente will bo able to intervene in the war usefully. The Germans may regret using up their submarines in a criminal and sterile task, for torpedoes would be specially useful against battleships engaged in a furious combat. MORE VESSELS SUNK. LONDON, Sept. 11. The British steamer Comubla has been sunk. The crew were saved. ' PARIS, Sept. 11. ♦The cargo steamers Ville Mosmagnem and Andes have been submarined. Sixteen of the former’s crew have landed, and the Andes’ crew were saved.
