BURNED TO THE GROUND. MU’. PRESS ASSOCIATION. .AUCKLAND, Sept. 13. The Okoroire Hot Springs Hotel was totally destroyed by fire at 5.30 this morning. Thirty guests escaped safely. The sanatorium was saved, after strong efforts; Mr. Griffiths, owner of tho hotel, states that he was awakened at 5.30 a.rn. and saw from his bedroom window flames rising from the roof above the billiard-room. By the time he had aroused the boarders and got outside the yfholo hotel seemed ablaze. All escaped in the most scanty clothing and with few personal belongings. The building was valued at £C3OO. The insurances on the building, dirnishings, and stock total £3OOO in tho United Insurance Company.
