ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES.
A BUSHFELLER KILLED. PER PRESS ASSOCIATION, PAHIATIJA, Sept. 6. , Alexander Durrand, agedi 30, a single man, was killed while bushfelling at Berkahn’s Camp, Pongaroa district, on Saturday. Deceased said ho was an ,ex-navy man, belonging to the north of Scotland. He had only been on the job three days. The. body was brought to Pongaroa for an inquest. A WOMAN’S SUICIDE. MASTERTON, Sept. p. Louisa Taplin, a widow, aged 56, took a dose of poison yesterday and died shortly afterwards. At the inquest a verdict of death through poison self-administered, while in a delicate state of health, was returned.
