The New Zealand- - ladies’ hoOkey tournament, the gross proceeds of which go towards the Wounded Soldiers’ Fund, opened at the BasiiP’Reserve this afternoon, under fair weather conditions. The games decided were keenly contested and marked by good play. Results:— AVellington beat AA’anganui, 14 to nil. Manawatu beat Canterbury, 4 to 3. Wairarapa beat Hawke’s Bay, 2 to 1.
