THE ANNUAL MEETING. ' PER PRESS ASSOCIATION. PALMERSTON N., Juno 22. Tho annual meeting of the National I!airy Association was held this morning, Mr J. Norton presiding. It was resolved that, in view of the increasing demand for separators, the National Dairy Association should take immediate stops to prevent tho exploitation’ of dairy farmers 1 hy solo agencies. A committee, representing tho whole of the North Island, was set up to take stops to further tho transport of dairy produce. A motion was passed expressing appreciation of the steps taken by the Massey Government to provide carriage for Zealand produce, also urging that means be , adopted to arrange for its carriage next season. Over £4O was_ collected in the room in aid of tho Wounded Soldiers’ Fund.
The Chairman, addressing members, urged that tho manufacture of- rennet ho taken up in Now ZcalSnd, as in the supplies had been drawn from conncries now at war.
It was suggested that tho Government he asked not to encourage tho enlistment of skilled dairy workers, os much dairy produce was required by tho armies. The consignment policy of factories had been very satisfactory, undreamt of prices having been secured. The retiring directors and auditor were ro-clccted.
