REPLY TO “CRAVEN.”
TO TUB EDITOR.
Sir, — are a lot of people like “Craven” about just now. Instead of sitting- in a nice warm room and writing little letters to the editor, why does he not go along to the drill hall some evening and ask the majors, captains, lieutenants, etc., why they don't'go to the front-' But of course it is so cold out of an evening now, and it is much easier to got the editor to do these little jobs tor us. Perhaps, sir, your, correspondent wits not far wrong when he signed himself “Craven.” He might have signed himself “Raving” with equal truthfulness. I have much plea*, sure in referring “Craven” to these lines by Thomas Bracken: — Not understood ! Tho secret springs of action, Which lie beneath tho surface and the show. Arc disregarded; with self-satisfaction *\Ve judge our neighbours, and they often go Not understood. —I am, etc., NOT UNDERSTOOD.
