NEW PLYMOUTH CLUB. Saturday was an ideal day for golf, 'and a very pleasant afternoon was spent by local players. * On’tho Now Plymouth Club’s links at Waiwakaiho a medal round was played, this being the first of the monthly competitions for the St. Andrew's Cross, lor players with handicaps of 18 and under. At tho same time a junior aggregate prize was competed lor by players whoso present handicaps arc 19 or over, and who are not entitled to compote for tho St. Andrew's Cross. At the end of the season a prize will be given to tho player securing the lowest net aggregate of his four best scores made on days on which St. Andrew's Cross matches arc played. Twenty-live players took part in the competitions. The best scores returned for the St. .Andrew's Cross were; —

WITIORA CLUB. At Witiora on Saturday afternoon an eclectic match was played, the bo.st cards returned being:—

On Thursday mixed foursomes will bo played, players to choose their own partners and opponents, notifying Mr. A. K. Smart by Wednesday. TARAUUA CLUB. A medal handicap was played on the Tarahnn links on Saturday afternoon. The weather was all that could he desired, and a fair number of members competed. The two host cards returned were:— P.
