On Saturday next, at Waiwakaiho, there will be a medal handicap. Tho annual Wanganui tournament was continued in splendid weather on Saturday, the events including two rounds of tho championship besides an IS-hojo match against bogie in Che morning and an 18-hoie medal match in tho afternoon. Tho bogie was won by j'\ C. Fryer, who, with a handicap of 5 was 3 up on the Colonel. Dr. Gregg (12) was 1 up and H. B. Good (handicap 10) and H. W. Kelly (14) tied for third place all square. Hi the medal handicap in the altornoon H. W. Kelly, 90U8-72, proved an easy winner, while A. Rarraud, 79-2-77, and C. Hickson, 86-9-77, tied for second place. The championship first round resulted as follows: L. Seifert beat A. Rarraud 3 and 2, W. S. Ralph boat H. G. Stringer 2 up, J. Harold heat Kurupo Taroha 2 and 1, 1. Saunders beat D. M’Cormick 2 and X, Kapi Tarelia beat J. F. Uitchio 1 up, A. D. S. Duncan beat H. C. Cock 3 and 2, W. A. O’Callaghan boat G. Saunders 5 and S, A. H. Lewis beat A. G. Hodges 8 and 7. Second Bound.—Ralph boat L. Seifert 1 up, Harold boat I. Saunders 4 and 3, Duncan boat. Kapi Taroha 2 up and Lewis boat O’Callaghan (i and 4. The approaching competition for a prize presented by Mr. H. D. Bates was won after a piay-o(T with J. Cameron and (i W. Harden, by D. Coghill. Tho putting competitions wero again won by Mrs. H. A. Lomax and R. D. Wvbourne. For the semi-finals of tho championship, Ralph plavs Harold and Lewis plays Dunqan.—Chronicle.
