A certain standard of Parliamentary policy was being evolved in Australia, for instance, whatever party was in power it was now assured that defence must proceed along tho lines of Imperial co-oporation and co-ordination. Australians were grown up and wore realising more and i more their obligations to go beneath the ■ burdens of Empire.
