At the Wages Board inquiry into the wharf labourers’ claims, Mr. Hillyor. president of tho Wharf Labourers’ Union, in reply to a question, declared that man. should obey the laws of tho land if it suited him. If it didn’t he should break them. A member of the union refusing to tako tho oath stated that he did not believe in a Supremo Being. Many of bis mates had similar views.
