Board and Watson’s largo six-story warehouse, which was heavily stocked with high-class furniture, suddenly collapsed. Tho outer walls alono remain standing, the interior being a mixed mass of debris and broken furniture. During tho day some 160 people wore employed on the promises, and had tho accident happened during work hours the death roll must have been heavy. The fact that tho ground floor was undergoing repairs, including tho replacing of some wall work and girders, probaSy accounts for tho collapse. The managing director of the firm has roughly estimated the damage at •from £40,000 to £50,000.
