SIR GEORGE REID’S DEPARTURE. BY KLECTRIC TELEGRAPH. —COPYRIGHT(Received September 13, 9.55 a.m.) LONDON, September 12. Sir George Reid has departed for Australia. Tho train left St. Paneras Station before he was on board. Amid much excitement it was stopped at tho end of the platform. Sir Georgo Reid was posing for a press photographer on the platform, and did not hear the guard’s whistle. Ho nearly fell against the moving train, but was helped on boa'rd, and found his daughter and sons were left behind. The train was then stopped.
