GOLF.
NEW PLYMOUTH CLUB. A-bogy match was played at Waiwakaiho on Saturday, when 14 players braved tho hostile elements. Owing to certain formalities not being complied with, tho winner has not yet been decided, and the match will probably be played again. The following will represent the New Plymouth Club in the match-against Inglewood at Nga Motn on Thursday next;—W. C. Weston, F. S. Johns, W. Bewley, 0. H. Burgess, W. P. Niooll, J. Johnston,. D. K. Morrison, F. Honan, J. Austin, A. Coxhcad, G. M. Kofhell and A. Goldwater. Tho ladies are travelling to Inglewood on tho same day by the 12.50 train and will bo represented by tho following in their re turn [natch: — Miss Stephenson, Miss Brewster, Mrs. Paten, Hiss A. Read, Mrs. Arnold Jones, Miss Blundell, Miss M’Kellar, Miss Hill, Mrs. Penn and Mrs. Hutton. M’Cormiok returns hero on Wednesday, and those wishing tuition should put their names down on the list jat Avery’s. At - Hawera and the Hutt there was such a largo number of pupils that a hall was requisitioned, and lessons were given both day and night.
