ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES.
A SHOOT IN(J FATALITY. Per Press Association. HASTINGS, May 2. At the inquest concerning tho death of Charles Flanders, aged 10, who met with a fatal gun accident whilst duckshooting yesterday, a verdiot was returned that deceased was accidentally killed by a gunshot wound, the accident being caused by tho negligent use of a gun. The following rider was added ; That the frequency of accidents arising solely from the careless use of firearms suggests the advisability of legislation requiring ail persons using or having possession of firearms and ammunition to. take out a license, issued by some competent expert after careful examination and inquiry regarding the proposed licensees.
