The motion of no-confidonce in the Government, brought forward by Mr. Creswell (Labour), was rejected T by 63 to 41. 1 General Hertzog bitterly accused General Botha of duplicity, the misrepresentation of facts, and subverting and abandoning his party. General Botha, in a dignified and impassioned exhaustive reply, declined to put- the country to the expense and inconvenience of a general election merely because General Hertzog desired to re-enter office.
