Jerry Maida, suspected of aiding the Attorney-General in tho investigation of police graft, was shot dead in the street. Five of the gang have been arrested in connection with the murder. MORE OFFICERS CHARGED. (Received Mav 1, 11.45 a.m.) NEW YORK, April 30. Four police officers, accused of graft, have .been placed on trial in the Supreme Court. Charges, covering a period of four years, have been preferred against them. Investigation in other cases is proceeding.
