April 29.—The local Domain Purchase Committee called a public meeting on Saturday tor the purpose of electing the lirst Domain Board. The tallowing were elected:—Messrs. Booker, if' ox, Wooldridge, Shaw, Dailey, Julian, Larsen, Street and Power. The Purchase Committee, after the election, inlorified the Domain Board that the property was now free ot debt and that Okato was now possessed of a dot main kfeat could contain football and cricket grounds,, and with plenty of room for picnics. The new board is comprised of live members, who are determined that tho domain shall not become overrun with blackberries, but that the township will eventually have something it may he proud of; ■ Our local members of the Territorials have returned from camp looking well and full of, enthusiasm as to the good time they had. They certainly do not look any tho worse for the training and a few rounded shoulders have been straightened out. , "Local shootists are busy talking over the prospects of tho coming season, and from all accounts there are a good number of birds this way: Our local smith, Mr. Clarke, has sold his business to Mr. J. Power, who is vacating'.his old shop for the newer and more up-to-date premises.
