The visible American wheat suply is 86,282,000 bushels. AUCKLAND SHARE MARKET. (Special to Herald.) AUCKLAND, May 9. Mr. Hendry (E, P, Webster local agent) reports tho following Stock Exchange quotations and sales:— Quotations. —May Queen sellers Is 4d, buyers Is 3d, Occidental Is 5d and Is 4d, Waiotahi 2s 10s and 2s Bd, AV'aitangi Is 2d and Is Id, Talisman 45s and 44s 6d, Waihi 40s 9d and 40s 3d, Junction 23s 9d and 25s 3d. Sales.—Occidental Is 4d, Talisman 44s 9d. BUCKLAND AND SONS. (Special to Herald.) AUCKLAND, May 8. Messrs. Bucklaud and Sons report:— On Wednesday, May 8, there were 411 fat cattle yarded. Competition was less keen. Choice ox brought to £1 6s, prime £1 3s 6tl to £1 ss, cow and heifer 16s to £1 3s, steers £6 12s (id to £l3 2b 6d, cows and heifers £3 15s to £9 ss, runners £3 10s to £5 2s, heavy calves £2 3s to £3 3s, medium £1 Ss to £2 Is, small light 3s to 18s; 95 were sold. There was a heavy entry of mutton ; extra heavy prime wethers brought 19s 9d to £1 Is 6d, heavy and prime 18s to 19s (id, medium to heavy 16s 6d to 17s 9d, light 13s to 15s 6d, best heavy ewes 15s to 16s 6d, good 12s to 14s, others 9s to 11s; 2138 were sold. Fat lambs sold well at 14s to 17s 6d, others 9s to 12s 6d; 223 were sold. The pigs penned numbered 109; baconers £2 to I £2 16s, large porkers £1 8s to £1 15s, ; lighter 18s to £1 6s, slips 12s to 16s, weaners 5s to 12s. On May 2 at Westfield best dairy cows brought £9 to £ll 15s, others £5 10s to £8 10s, empty cows £2 15s ■to £3 19s, choice Holstein - Jersey heifers £3 10s to £5 ss, mixed calves . £1 6s to £1 16s, yearling steers £2 8s to £2 15s. NEWTON KING’S WEEKLY REPORT. The following is Mr. Newton King’s Weekly report:— On Thursday 2nd inst., I had a large attendance at Air. Walter Chattertou’s clearing sale on the Kent Road. Bidding for all dairy cattle was very keen, prices obtained being very satisfactory, as follows: Early calvers from £5 15s to £8 los, old and late calvers £4 to £4 7s 6d, empty £2 10s, Jersey 18-months bull £2 7s Gd, 20-months incalf heifers £3 17s 6d, wcaner heifer calves £1 18s, mare £l3. On account of other vendors; 20-months Holstein heifers £4 Is to £4 2s 6d, forward cows £4 2s.

On Saturday, 4th inst., I held my monthly horse fair at Stratford, submitting just on ninety horses. Competition for unbroken horses was keen, every one being sold at the hammer. Good hacks and harness horses also met good competition and sold well. Inferior sorts were dull of sale; no inquiry. I quote: Unbroken half draught £l2 5s to £ls 17s 6d, lighter sorts £'4 15s to £O, broken draughts £25 to £3O, half draughts £2O to £26 10s, upstanding hacks £l2 10s to £l7 10s, harness horses £lO to £ls l()s, hacks £4 to £8 10s, weeds 20s to 60s. My Rahotu yards on Tuesday were well filled with cattle, the majority being weaners and cow's. The former, of which about 200 were yarded, were a poor lot. Bidding at the start was Black, but improved during the sale, practically everything being cleared during tho day. A nice lino of 20mouths well done Jersey-Holstein in-calf heifers realised, after spirited competition, £6. Other prices wore: Mixed weaners to yearlings, best £1 7s 6d to £1 14s, poor 14s to £1 2s 6d ; heifers, coloured £1 16s, £2 12s, others £1 to £1 9s; steers, best £1 Cs to £1 14s 6d, poor 6s 6d to 15s; 18-months steers £2 15s to £3 Is, 18-months incalf heifers (small) £2 los to £3 Is, empty 20-months heifers £3 0s 6d to £3 ss, springing heifers (small) £4 2s 6d to £4 10s, store cows £2 3s to £3 7s 6d, forward cows £4 to £4 7s, fat cows £4 16s, old £1 to £1 los, haconor pigs £2 12s 6d. During the week 1 have sold privately at the following rates: In-calf 20montlis heifers £3 10s to £4 10s, 21year in-calf heifers £5 5s to £6, empty 20-montlis heifers £3 6s 6d to £3 10s, coloured weaners to yearling heifers £2 16s, 20-months steers (small) £3, 2J-yoar steers £4 12s 6d, bulls £4, lambs 7s, 6s 6d, 6s 3d, 6s, os, dairy' cows £8 10s, fat bullocks £9, store 3-year bullocks £5 10s, 2-tooth wethers 12s 3d to 12s 6cT, 4-tooth wethers 13s 6d, fat cows £5 to £5 12s Gd, forward cows £3 17s 6d to £4 2s Cd. store cows £2 15s to £3 os, fat wethers los 6d. At the Haymarkct on Saturday I had a fair entry, realising;— Pigs: Weaners (good) 6s 6d to 9s, others 4s to os, slips 10s to 13s, stores 19s to £1 8s 6d, rubber-tyred gig £2O, express horses £2O. WEBSTER BROS. Messrs. Webster Bros.’ weekly report ie as follows: Poultry.—At the mart on Saturday our pens were taxed to their utmost yith birds of all classes. Prices were still maintained, good forward pullets being keenly sought after. Wo quote: Hons (old) Is 5d to Is lid, young Is lOd to 2s 9d; pullets, young Is 6d to 2s 6d, forward 3s Id to 4s; ducks, Is Sd to 2s 6d ; cockerels, young Is 3d to Is 6d, fat Is 9d to 3s Id; drakes Is 7d to 2s Id, purebred brown Leghorn cockerels 12s. Tho usual line of auction sundries and furniture realised satisfactory prices. Fruit.—During tho week large shipments have come to hand, including a large shipment of Rarotongan bananas and oranges. Prices as under, according to quality and size of cases;— Apples, dessert, best coloured varieties, 5s to 9s 6d, cookers 5s to 5s 9d dessert 4s to 8s 6d, others 4s to 4s 6d ; oranges, repacks 8s 6d to 9b 6d, green 6s 6d to 7e 6d; Capo gooseberries 5s to 6s, peaches 3s 3d to 4s 6d, tomatoes 2s 6d to ss, quinces 5s 6d to 6s; grapes, best Gross Coleman Is lid lb., seconds 5d to lOd ; passion fruit 3s to 3s 6d ; bananas, ripo 3d per lb., green Rarotocgaor 14s 6d to 15s 6d.
