At tho Supreme Court to-day James Henry Hope was convicted of having illegally sold beer. Sentence was deferred. Arthur Joseph Wicks, charged with indocsiitly assaulting a girl aged fourteen years and eight months, one of his pupils, at.his residence, was found guilty, with a recommendation to mercy. Sentence was deferred. MUSIC TEACHER SENTENCED.

WELLINGTON, May 8.

A. J. Wicks, a music teacher, was sentenced to four years’ imprisonment for indecent assault.
