FALL DOWN A HOLD, Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, May 3. John Anderson, who fell down tho hold of the Mokoia on April 26, sustaining a fractured _ jaw, thigh and wrist, died from his injuries to-day. AUCKLAND, May 4. Henry Morris Anderson, a waterside worker, a married man, aged 46, died in the hospital from injuries received from falling down the hold of the steamer Mokoia on April 26. At the inquest, <a verdict of accidental death, with no blame to anyone, was returned. The jury added a rider which recommended all steamship companies to allow sufficcut time to replace parts of hatches and that some person should be responsible for carrying out this work. A CLERGYMAN’S DEATH. CHRISTCHURCH, May 3. The Rev. Mr. Butler, a Baptist minister residing at Spreydou, died suddenly' this afternoon, lie had just seated himself in a chair, when he had a stroke and died instantly. Tho deceased was between 50 and 60 years of ago, and had only been minister at the Spreydon church for a fortnight. AN UNEXPLAINED DEATH. AUCKLAND, May 4. Mrs. Little, one of the two women .taken suddenly ill at Takapnna on the 25th instant, died in the hospital at midnight. Deceased and her sister, Mrs. Angus Nicholson, had a sudden seizure after having some refreshments. Tho first suggested cause was that of ptomaine poisoning. The inquest ou Mrs. iVicholson, who died previously, disposed of this theory, medical testimony attributing the illness in both cases to cerebral hemorrhage.FATALITY AT TIMAEU. At noon yesterday the two-year-old son of Mr. Norman Shogren, manager of tho creamery at Timarn, on the South Road between here and Okato, fell into the factory race in tho Tiinaru Creek, and was drowned. Dr. Blackley was immediately summoned, bxit on his arrival found that the little chap was beyond help. Tho Coroner, Mr. A. Crooke, is holding an inquest on the body at 2.30 this afternoon. Much sympathy is felt for the parents in their sad bereavement.
