AN AERATED WATER COMPANY. AUCKLAND, May 3. In consequence of the dispute between the aerated water manufacturers and hotelkeepers upon prices being advanced over 60 per cent., the latter resolved to start a business to be known as the Auckland Licensed Victuallers’ Aerated Water Factory, with a capital of £3OOO iu pound shares, which were subscribed immediately. It is intended to sell only to hotelkeepers. A COMPENSATION CASE. GREYMOUTH, May 3. Mr. Justice Dennistou reserved his judgment in tho case Blanche y. the Greyraouth Wharf Labourers’ Union, a claim for £3OO damages for loss of employment as foreman of tho Union Company at Greymoutb. MOTOR SERVICE INTERRUPTED

GORE. May 2. The motor-cars on tho Lumsden-Te Anau service, due at Lumsdon at noon, on Tuesday, have not returned yet, owing to floods. The unbridged condition of the road made the trip impossible. It is imperative that something should be done it the service is to be a success. The mails were brought through to-day by horse and trap. Heavy rains are being experienced, and tho country is badly flooded. This is severe on farmers, as the harvest is still unthreshed.
