WELLINGTON RACING CLUB. WELLINGTON, April 21. The weather was showery for the second day of the Wellington Racing Club’s autumn meeting, but not wet enough to affect the attendance, which was very,large. A feature of the day's racing was the success of first favourites, A sum of £22,336 was put through the totalisator, compared with £16,886 on the corresponding day last year. The total for the meeting was £42,022, as against £29,930 at last year’s autumn meeting. Additional results: Autumn Handicap, 1J mile.—Bronze 1, Flingot 2, Merrivpnia 3. Undecided, Dearest, Midnight Sun, Sea Queen and Odessa also started. A good race. Won by three-parts of a length. Time, 2min. 22|sec. New Zealand St. Leger Stakes,' 1} mile.— Counterfeit 1, Masterpiece 2, Byron 3. Sir Knox also started. Won easily. Time, 3min. 7sec. Pacific Handicap, 6 furlongs.—Bon Ton 1, Eocene 2. Obligant 3. Styx, Haskaync, Jan, Stepney and Bui Soir also started. the field entered the straight in a hunch, and Bon Ton won by a neck. Suburban Handicap, 6 furlongs.— Makara 1, Blue Lake 2, Khamsin 3. Gipsy Belle, Bcndiera, Full Race, Bootle, Theodore, Merry Frank, Ineuru, Con the Shaughrauu and Blakeney also started. Won easily by a length and a half. Time, Imin. 16? sec. Belmont Handicap, 6 furlongs.— Dirge 1, Gay Lawless 2, Distinction 3. Thrave, Mount Victoria, Ceylon, Amaru, Semaphore. Te Waharoa, Lady Nolan, War Queen, Borsil and Abercoed also smarted.
