The Postal Servants’ Conference at Bristol, by 98 votes to 47, resolved that it was improper for postal workers to strike, employment by the State entailing special responsibilities. EARTHQUAKES IN GREEK ISLANDS. (Received April 11, 11.50 a.m.) ATHENS. April 10. There have been several earthquakes at Cepbnlonia and Ithaca. Several houses wore destroyed, but no.fatalities are recorded. A FRENCH ROBBER GANG. (Received April 11, 11.50 a.m.) PARIS, April 10. The police have discovered a robbery and murder gang at Chalons. It is believed the gang is responsible for four of the recent murders. One arrest has been effected.■ BRITISH DESTROYERS. (Received April 11, 10.50 a.m.) LONDON, April 10. Morrison, Unionist member for Nottingham, has resigned on account of ill-health. RECORD SHIPBUILDINGS. (Received April 11, 10.50 a.m.) LONDON, April 10. Lloyds’ return of vessels under construction, exclusive of warships, gives an aggregate of 1,686,898 tons, which is a record. THE TAXI-CAB BOBBERY. NEW YORK, April 10. Edward Kinsman has confessed to the recent taxi-cab robbery, implicating others. A portion of the stolen jewellery has been recovered. Kinsman was sentenced to throe and a half years’ imprisonment in Sing Sing Prison. A RAILWAY COLLISION. NEW YORK, April 10. A freight train racing to reach a siding at Sacramento before another train, collided with a motor train. Thirteen passengers and two traihsmen were seriously injured. The wreckage of both trains littered tho tracks. POLITICAL REFUGEES. WASHINGTON, April 10. Kagan and Lichatkof, two Social Democrats, have escaped from Siberia, and have been granted admission to the United States on the ground of being political refugees.

MOTOR-BUS COLLISION. LISBON, April 10. Two motor-buses collided on a hill at Oporto. One was hurled over a precipice. Nino passengers were killed and seven are in a critical condition.
