TURKISH ELECTION.
A SWEEPING VICTORY. FOR THE YOUNG TURKS. By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. (Received April 10, 9.10 a.m.) CONSTANTINOPLE, April 9. Tho Committee of Union and Progress had a sweeping victory at tho election, the Opposition having practically disappeared; what are left aro merely tho irreconcilable sections. The union’s success is due to the stubborn resistance of tho troops in Tripoli, neutralising the earlier indignation against the committee, combined with carefully engineered reports of Turkish successes.
