A heavily-laden passenger train coir lided with the tail of a goods train, which overlapped the points. The overlapping portion and the passenger engine wero smashed. The Herald's mid-harvest estimate of the wheat yield is 20,600,000 bushels, with an average of about ten bushels per acre.
