A court case has commenced against two men charged with stealing postal notes which it is alleged were posted to an agent of Tattersall’s. Accused obtained largo sums through the post. (Received Dec. 15, 9.25 a.m.) SYDNEY, Dec. 15. A serious attempt was made to wreck the train at Muswtllbrook. Five sleepers were placed on the rails. The census returns show that the population between the ages of 5 and 15 years has decreased in ten yt-ars by 8231. Persons of other ages have increased in numbers.
