The Bakhtiari cavalry, fighting with magnificent dash, decisively routed the ex-Shah’s forces at Emamjade Jaffar, near Veramin. Colonel Haase, the German commanding the Government artillery, worked a mitrailleuse. Arshad-ed-Dowleh was severely wounded and captured with 250 men and four guns. Eighty of his men were killed. Reuter states that Anshad will be executed.
