Speaking at Three Rivers, Quebec, Sir Wilfrid Laurier forecasted his probable early retirement, and asked what political life now offered him. For twenty years he had not known what rest meant. His opponents might de-, feat him, but they could not take away the love of thoso who had worked with him, nor the prosperity Canada had enjoyed under fifteen years of Liberal administration.
