AN INFANT SCALDED. ‘Per Press Association. ASHBURTON, August 11. An accident that terminated fatally occurred at Andina on Wednesday evening. Tlie infant son of Robert Lambie upset: a' teapot of boiling tea over its body and died this morning as. the re-' suit of the shock" and scalding. A MAN FOUND DEAD. WELLINGTON, August 12., William Johnson, an old resident of Wellington, and a builder by trade, was found dead in bed at his lodgings in Hopper Street this moVning, A bottle of prussic acid was lying close to the body. Deceased was a married man. His wife is on a visit to England. Ho suffered a grout deal from gastritis, and was otherwise worried. Last night he rang up a friend and said good-bye, BODY FOUND DEAD. AUCKLAND, August 12. A married woman, Mrs, Andrew, residing at Milford Reach, Takupuna, disappeared early last evening. Tho family searched all night, hut were unsuccessful. This morning the police found the dead body in a creek.
