A VICARAGE BURNED. Per Cross Association. AUCKLAND, August 12. A fire at Takapuna destroyed the newly-erected vicarage of St. Peter’s Church, which was occupied by the Rev. AV. Moncktou and family. The vicar endeavoured to get Mr. Oldham, aged 80, out of the house, but was overcome by the suffocating smoke.
