BOWRON BROS.
FAILURE OF ENGLISH FIRM. Per Press Association, CHRISTCHURCH, March 22. The failure of Bowron Bros., leather and sheepskin importers, ol Bermondsey, England, reported by cable yesterday, will not in any way affect the Bowron Export Company here.. A Press reporter who made inquiries yesterday was informed that the firm mentioned acted up to within the last six months or so as agents for Bowron Bros, and Co., Lid,, of New Zealand, a distinct body from the London company, and carried on by different members of tho Bowron family. That was the only business relation between the two companies, and that relation itself censed, in respect of the recently-formed Bowron Bros. Export Company, when that company took over tho leather business of Bowron Bros., and no trado connection existed between the new export company and the English company, either directly nr indirectly. Bowron Bros., of New Zealand, will, however, be creditors for quite a considerable amount in tho estate of the English company.
