Welcome 3}d, Hauraki 6s and 6s Id, Kapanga Is 3d, Maoriland 6d, Talisman 32s Gd, 535, and 53s 6d, Waihi 200 s, Junctions 29s 6d, 29s 9d, and 30s. 4s 3d buyers, National Bank 126 s 6d and 1265, N.Z. Insurance 73s and 71s 6d, Taupiri Coal 19s 6d and 19s 3d, Westport 127 s and 1265,' Auckland Gas 15s and 10s Northern Steam Ship (contributing) 6s 9d and 6s 4d, Trams (ordinary) 23s and 22s 3d, Milne and Choyce 22s and 20s 9d. BUCKLAND AND SONS. (Special to Herald.) AUCKLAND, Feb, 11, Messrs. BnckTand and Sons, report:—• At Westfield on Wednesday an average yarding of stock of, all classes met with ready sale. Fat cattle, of which 394 wore yarded, fully sustained lato values. Ox beef 21s 9d, and cow 18s per 100 lb; steers £5 10s to £9 17s 6d, cows £3 10s to £6 7s 6d. All sold but 16. There was a short supply of calves at late values; 29 sold. Lambs sold better than for some time, and bidding was spirited at from 7s 6d to 14s 9d. Pigs were in moderate numbers, and 37 changed owners. On Thursday there was little else but dairy cattle, for which prices were easier all round. ABRAHAM AND WILLIAMS. (Special to Herald.) • PALMERSTON N., Feb. 11. Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report that at their sale at Palmerston North on Thursday they had a good yarding of sheep and a medium one of cattle. Sheep were in good demand, and they effected a total clearance with the exception of ono pen. ’They quote ;—4 and 5-year-old ewes 10s 6d, aged ewes 4s 9d, 5s 6d to 8s 7d, lambs 3s 3d, 5s 7d, to 10s Id, fat owes 9s, Shropshire rams 15s, full-mouth Romney rams 30s. Cattle.—Fat cows £4 10s to £4 14s, store cows £3 Is to £3 3s 6cl, bulls 25s to £2, weaners 20s to 275. At the sale at Raumai, held on Tuesday they had a very good yarding of sheep and cattle. Sheep were in good demand, and in every case vendors received more than their reserves. They quote:—Rape lambs 7s, 7s 2d, and 7s 6d, small lambs 4s 6d to 4s Bd, 2-tooth owes 13s 6d to 14s 4d, 4-tooth, 6-tooth and f.m. ewes 10s Id. aged rams 9s 3d. Cattle—2-year-old steers £3 10s, 18 steers £2 Is to £2 10s, weaners 17s, cows in calf £2 15s, forward cows 33s to £3 16s 6d.
